THE ISSUES
I am running to be your next Orange County Commissioner of District 4 because I want to tackle areas and issues that although have been acknowledged or addressed, have not improved.
QUALITY OF LIFE
How do you measure quality of life?
Standard indicators of quality of life include wealth, employment, the environment, physical and mental health, education, recreation and leisure time, social belonging, religious beliefs, safety, security, and freedom.
For me, quality of life means ensuring access to opportunity through the promotion of self-sufficiency. If elected, my goal is to ensure the improvement of quality of life of all Orange County District 4 residents through the allocation of strategic resources, tools, programs, collaboration, and community partnership.
PUBLIC SAFETY
The idea of public safety underlies numerous public policy decisions and laws, as well as many of the choices that each of us make in our everyday lives. But, what is it? What comes to mind when you hear the phrase public safety?
Typically defined as “the protection of the general public,” many people think of police officers, firefighters, and EMTs as public safety officers. Many governments form their policies on this idea of protecting people’s physical welfare. They often focus on combating crime in an effort to to ensure residents feel safe and secure in the community.
If elected, I will continue to increase public safety and will make sure efforts and resources are properly and proportionately allocated to community safety measures.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure is the set of fundamental facilities and systems that support the sustainable functionality of households and firms. Serving a country, city, or other area, including the services and facilities necessary for its economy to function. Infrastructure is composed of public and private physical structures such as roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, water supply, sewers, electrical grids, and telecommunications (including Internet connectivity and broadband access). In general, infrastructure has been defined as "the physical components of interrelated systems providing commodities and services essential to enable, sustain, or enhance societal living conditions" and maintain the surrounding environment.
As our economy and community grows, infrastructure must adapt accordingly. I am very well aware of our needs and will work to put such in the right place.A
ECONOMIC RECOVERY AND PROSPERITY
Economic recovery is the phase of the business cycle following a recession, or in today's case, the covid-19 pandemic. Business outlook and sentiments for an industry looks optimistic during this phase.
During the recovery period, the economy goes through a process of economic adaptation and change to new circumstances, including the reasons that caused the recession in the first place, as well as the new policies and regulations enacted by governments and central banks in reaction to the recession.
When displaced workers find new employment and failing enterprises are bought up or broken up by others, the labor, capital goods, and other economic resources that were tied up in businesses that failed and went under after the recession are re-employed in new industries. Recovery is the process by which the economy heals itself from the harm it has sustained, paving the way for future growth.
I will fight for all Orange County District 4 residents to enjoy and benefit from a great economy.
